Dr. Rajendra Singh Jain is an esteemed senior medical faculty, with MD (General Medicine) and DM (Neurology). Formerly, he was in the chair of Senior Professor and HOD, Department of Neurology, University SMS Medical College and Hospital, Jaipur, (Rajasthan, India).
Dr. Jain is a hard-core follower of Swami Vivekananda, imbibing his teachings of “Arise, Awake and Stop not till the goal is reached” and with the blessings of Mother Teresa, HH Dalai Lama and Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, he has paved through the path of professional success, creating his own foot marks, with ultimate aim of striving for excellence.
He is a graduate and postgraduate from University SMS Medical College, Jaipur possessing bright academic record with four Gold Medals and Honors in Anatomy. He was always intrigued with the intricacies of Brain and Mind and thus pursued his career further in the field with DM Neurology from the prestigious Seth G S Medical College and King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, Mumbai.
Dr. R.S. Jain has great zeal for academics, contributing significantly with 110 peer reviewed national and international publications in the field of Neurology. He has twenty-four pioneer papers as first reports in world literature. He has discovered new signs like “Reverse Hot Cross Bun” sign, “Inverse Trident” sign, and “Medullary Hot Cross Bun” sign; and reported them for the first time in medical literature. Within various domains of Neurology, he has keen interest in Stroke, Epilepsy and Tropical Neurology.
Dr. Jain is actively involved in social work by way of organising free medical and epilepsy camps for poor patients. Dr. Jain is motivating for blood, eye, organ and body donations as an executive member of Jain Social Group. At the same time, he is also undertaking public education programs on various neurological disorders by way of writing articles in newspapers, giving radio talks, conducting TV shows and displaying by means of poster exhibitions in local language Hindi. Recently, he has taken up the challenging task of applying artificial limb “Jaipur Foot” for accidental cows and lens implantation surgery for blind cows and dogs. He has deep sense of spirituality and strives to work for the betterment of society.
