It gives me great pleasure to share the wide range of academic and clinical learning opportunities offered by the Department of Cardiology. Our department is deeply committed to nurturing competent, confident, and compassionate future cardiologists through a balanced blend of theoretical knowledge, practical training, and research exposure.
We conduct regular teaching sessions, including interactive lectures, case-based discussions, ECG and echocardiography interpretation classes, journal clubs, and evidence-based medicine seminars. These structured programs are designed to strengthen clinical reasoning skills and keep students updated with the latest advancements in cardiovascular science.
To ensure that our students gain real-world expertise, we emphasize hands-on clinical training. Under close supervision, students participate in outpatient and inpatient care, cardiac emergency management, and critical care rounds. They also receive guided exposure to essential cardiology procedures such as echocardiography, stress testing, catheterization lab observations, and basic diagnostic techniques, Cardiac devices , Valvular interventions and Electrophysiological studies and Radiofrequency ablation. Hands on training and Simulation-based training modules further enhance their procedural confidence and patient-care skills.
Our department also encourages students to engage in research activities, supporting them in project development, data analysis, and presentations at national and international forums.
I am proud of the enthusiasm and dedication displayed by our students and faculty alike. We will continue to strive toward excellence in teaching, clinical training, and innovation, ensuring that every learner is well-prepared to meet the evolving demands of cardiovascular medicine.
