Our department is expert in the management of all blood and bone marrow disorders. This is for both children and adults. We are also proficient in the treatment of geriatric cases (older patients). We have state of the art facilities, equipment, manpower and experience in both benign and malignant hematology.

Our department caters to about 1000 new hematology patients every year and provide services to about 30-40 cases every day. In addition we get about 10 cross speciality requests for consultations from other departments every day. Individual consultants have their focus on their respective fields of interest and are experts in various diseases and treatment modalities.

Our department also focuses on clinical research for encouraging innovations in hematology therapy and treatment procedures.

Our department provides ancillary services and collaborates with several NGOs for counselling, psychologic support, help in managing funds, stay during treatment, medicines, and care for patients with hematological disorders.

One of the main strengths of our hospital is the availability and seamless integration of all super-specialities of medicine and pediatrics on the same campus. Services of allied specialties is big help in managing treatment and disease related complications in a timely manner.

Department of Clinical Hematology has 02 (two) DM Seats recognised by NMC per year. Our super specialization postgraduate students are trained in various aspects of Hematology.

Our department conducts academics activities like Multidisciplinary Tumour Board, Grand Rounds, Faculty Lecture, Journal Club, Soft skill training, Bone Marrow Transplant, Critical Care tumour Board, Molecular Tumour Board, Genetic Clinic, Nurse’s Training programme (Hands-on training/ workshop), Palliative Care services, Outreach activities on regular basis.
